Join our HERIZEN all women sail training / adventure in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. For the summer of 2023 our Women Sailing and Self-Awareness in BC will discover the beauty of the Salish Sea, Sunshine Coast, Desolation Sound, Discovery Islands, Johnstone Strait, the Broughtons and North Vancouver Island.

Explore the beauty of the Salish Sea, Desolation Sound, run 5 rapdis Johnstone Strait where the Orcas play into the wild historic Broughton Archipelago Park, B.C.’s largest marine park where grizzly bears, wolfs, petroglphys and First Nation is prolific.  Sail in the many inlets, fjords with snow capped mountains and waterfalls grace your experience, These coastal waters offer some of the best sailing for women in the world and are ideal for both beginners and experts alike. Add on a Sail Canada Certification Basic, Intermediate or Advanced package.

Departing / returning from Nanaimo you will live and sail with women safely aboard a 40 foot sloop while enjoying shared accommodation and cruising comfort. Laugh and have fun while sharing responsibility as a member of the crew.  Just say yes to life and live large!

Women sail training will include sailing and self awareness techniques and the necessities for cruising BC waters located on the west coast of Canada including tides and currents, running 5 rapids easily, anchoring, safety and basic or intermediate sail techniques. Destinations are usually in sight and a string of islands offer multiple locations ideal for shelter.

Start your day cultivating vitality for optimal wellbeing through Fusion Yoga -Qigong and a Natural Meditation Technique as your morning practice. Enjoy women sail training, Yoga fusion, Self Awareness and Confidence building techniques.

You will be part of a 6 women crew.  Two teams of 3 women on watch. Rotating as helmsperon, navigator and crew on the upper deck while the other team below deck are responsible to keep the upper deck crew fed, take naps, personal time or work on your certification studies.  These teams will rotate every 3 hours. Thus you will get ample opportunity to experience all aspects of what it takes to make this epic women only adventure of a lifetime happen.

And of course we may encounter amazing wildlife; black bears, grizzlies, wolves, eagles, whales, sea otters as well as wonderful hikes, hotsprings, my secret hideaway anchorages, great food - we can also provision for vegan and dairy free, forage for sea asparagus for dinner, swim in warm water lakes and enjoy the community of women teamwork, laughter, good fun and friends for life.

All of our HERIZEN™ Women Sailing and self awareness voyages are designed by women for women. There will be a total of six women aboard a 40 foot sailing sloop on each leg. Our BC women sail adventure is an active experience. Gain confidence, sailing skills, physical rejuvenation, and a renewed sense of self.

Travel Insurance Services (TSI) for Americans covers covid reasons for cancellation. If you test positive before departure, or while on your adventure, it would be treated as any other unwellness under the plan and you would be covered. There is also coverage for quarantine and other expenses that you might incur. Canadians can check out RBC Travel Insurance and Manulife Travel Insurance. Nomad Travel Insurance is another option.
