Freedom & Confidence

Desolation Sound & Broughton’s Sailing Sisters Adventure

June 16 to June 30, 2026

FULL (Wait List)

Be empowered and Inspired.

For experienced women sailors ready to chart a bold, beautiful course—welcome to Sailing Sisters: Sail, Art & Yoga Fusion. This is a memorable 14-night journey through some of British Columbia’s most breathtaking and remote coastal landscapes, crafted for women who thrive on adventure, creativity, and deep connection.

Departing from Nanaimo, we sail north into the tranquil inlets of Desolation Sound and the untamed beauty of the Broughton Archipelago. Towering above us, the Pacific Coastal Mountains provide a powerful, ever-changing backdrop—guiding our days with their presence and inspiring our art, movement, and stillness.

We'll navigate tidal rapids and swirling currents, hike forested trails to hidden waterfalls, and savor nourishing local foods drawn from land and sea. Days flow with the natural rhythm of the coast: sunrise yoga-inspired movement on deck, guided nature art practice in quiet anchorages, and the joy of wind-powered travel through these storied waters.

This isn’t just a sailing journey—it’s a deep, creative return to the elements. A sisterhood at sea, rooted in reverence, expression, and the wild beauty of the Pacific coast.

HERIZEN™ Sailing for Women presents Sailing Sisters a unique, soul-stirring adventure for women who already have some sailing experience and are ready to deepen both their seamanship and their sisterhood. This is not a charter or retreat — it’s a shared voyage. While I serve as skipper, I also come as a sister: to teach, support, co-create, and grow alongside you.

This journey is designed for vibrant, adventurous women who love movement, creativity, and nature in its raw beauty. If you’re drawn to sailing, wild places, soulful connection, and shared leadership — this is your call.

We travel through the jaw-dropping waters of Desolation Sound, into the majestic fjords of Toba Inlet, and beyond — running the thrilling five rapids (the way to access the remote Broughton Archipelago). These legendary rapids are a rite of passage, and navigating them together is part of what bonds us as a crew.

Once in the Broughton’s, we anchor near ancient First Nations rock paintings, visit the remote village of Alert Bay with its rich cultural heritage and museum, explore serene anchorages, hike to hidden lakes, and watch for whales and dolphins along the way. There are glaciers, waterfalls, wildlife, and moments of pure magic at every turn.
Everyone brings their gifts — I’ll share a yoga fusion, movement practice, art and inspiration — but this is also a space for you to offer what you love. Maybe it’s music, a form of dance, journaling, or even storytelling around the galley table. All offerings are welcome.

While participants are expected to have sailing experience, this is still a space to grow. We’ll refresh knots, fine-tune sail handling, practice navigation and anchoring, and encourage each other to take the helm — with confidence and joy.

This is a shared-cost program, with a donation offered for my skipper time. It’s not just about sailing — it’s about showing up fully, stepping into your strength, and being part of something wild, real, and deeply memorable. Are you a HERIZEN™ Sailing Sister?
